How To Pair Bose Headphones to Bluetooth Without Losing It

Bose headphones are convenient and have more intelligent features when compared to conventional wired headphones. It is not difficult to understand when wireless headphones are gradually becoming popular. But not everyone quickly adapts to the change from using traditional headphones to more modern ones. For many first-time users, how to pair Bose Bluetooth headphones and solve problems during headset connection is a top concern.

Mission: Pair Bose Headphones to Bluetooth

To pair Bose headphones, turn the headset upside down so that you are looking at the bottom of the headset, and then move the power switch to the On position to turn on the headset. Move the headset close to the Bluetooth-enabled device that you want to pair it with so it can be discovered.

Without keeping you waiting long, this article will provide you with ways to connect your Bluetooth headphones or headset to all your smart android devices. Laptops and Windows PCs now both support Bose Bluetooth connectivity. You don’t need to install any third-party software. If you use a computer running Windows 10 operating system, all you need to do is perform the following steps in this guide.

Pairing Bose Headphones Explained

Step 1: Turn on Bluetooth on the computer

In the right corner of the computer screen, there is a dialog box icon. Click on the dialog, and you will go to the Windows 10 Action Center.

Here you will see options like airplane mode, night mode. Among the options, look for the icon of Bluetooth then turn it on.

When you’ve turned on Bluetooth on your computer, the connection’s icon will turn darker. You’ll see ‘Not Connected’ appear under the Bluetooth icon.

Do not worry. This text indicates that the computer is not connected to the Bluetooth device.

Step 2: Select the device to pair

Turn on your Bluetooth headset. Most Bluetooth headsets have a warning sound or indicator light when you successfully start the headset.

After enabling Bluetooth on the computer, right-click on the icon to go to Bluetooth settings.

Under Bluetooth or another Bluetooth device, select Add Bluetooth or another device.

Your options include Bluetooth, Wireless display or dock, and more. Select Bluetooth to connect the wireless headset.

Step 3: Pairing

When you have turned on the Bluetooth headset and are within the range of the connection, the headset’s name will appear in the Bluetooth device list.

You need to click on your headset name. The computer will complete the final pairing steps in just a few seconds. After a successful connection, a message will appear on the screen.

Since Apple killed the 3.5mm headphone jack, wireless headphones have gradually dominated the smartphone headphone market.

It won’t take you too long to connect your smartphone to Bose Bluetooth – the headset of the new age.

Other Pairing Methods To Consider

Method 1: Use the Bose Connect app

The Bose Connect app is an application that helps connect Bluetooth devices wirelessly. Not only that, but Bose Connect also helps monitor Bose headphones, simplify the update process and handle some audio errors.

Step 1: Download the Bose Connect app.

Download the Bose app from the Apple Store if you have iOS or the Play Store if you have an Android phone. The application is entirely free.

Step 2: Turn on the Bose Bluetooth headset

Open the Bose Connect app. If you have your headphones turned on and there are no problems, you will see the headset’s name displayed on the application. Select the headset, then wait for a few seconds to connect.

Step 3: Pair your headphones using the Bose Connect app

After the first successful setup, the next time, the app will locate the headset and reconnect automatically every time you turn on the Bluetooth devices.

Additionally, once you’ve successfully connected, the Bose Connect app will sync with your phone. The bose app can automatically install firmware updates for your headset. You can optionally enable or disable this feature to avoid fuss.

Method 2: Set up the phone

If you don’t want to install the app, you can ultimately connect your phone directly to the Bluetooth headset. The steps are as follows:

Step 1: Select Settings, turn on Bluetooth connection.

Go to Bluetooth settings, check Connections, then turn on Bluetooth connection. Most phones today have shortcuts to turn on/off Bluetooth connections without going to the ground.

Step 2: Turn on the headset.

Turn on the headset. To ensure a successful connection, you also need to check the status of the headset. It is best to charge your headset before proceeding with the link fully.

Step 3: Connect

When you have both the headset and the Bluetooth connection enabled on your Bose device, your phone will automatically search for nearby wireless Bluetooth devices. In the list of available wireless devices, select the name of your headset.

Some smartphones require a code to connect, and others do not.

In the first case, you only need to set up a simple password to secure your connection. In the second case, the phone will automatically connect, and you can use it immediately.

Do you want to watch TV at night but worry that noise will affect other people’s sleep? Or you want to enjoy your favorite shows, but the surroundings are too noisy?

Some TVs now support connecting to wireless android devices such as speakers, hearing aids, keyboards, and even Bose Bluetooth headphones.

Accordingly, headphones in general and Bluetooth headphones, in particular, will answer the two questions above.

Each type of TV has different setting options, but the steps to connect to a Bluetooth headset are not outside of the steps below:

  • Step 1: Turn on the Bluetooth headset.
  • Step 2: Find “Bluetooth Connection” in the apps menu of the TV. With some TVs, you can find Bluetooth Connection in the “output bar” option. On some other TVs, Bluetooth Connection is in the settings.
  • Step 3: Connect and adjust by remote control.

If your TV does not support a wireless connection, you can still use Bose headphones with the help of a Bluetooth adapter.

The rear of the TV usually has adapter connection ports. Depending on the supported port size, you need to prepare a compatible Bluetooth adapter. Then follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Connect the Bluetooth adapter to the power source and the TV.
  • Step 2: Turn on the Bluetooth headset.
  • Step 3: Enable Bluetooth pairing mode on the adapter.
  • Step 4: Hold the headset near the adapter. You will not have to wait more than 5 seconds to connect.
  • Step 5: Some older TVs use a 3.5mm jack. But if your TV’s output is Digital Optical, you need to make a few customizations after a successful connection.

Specifically, you must reinstall the audio format. In the settings section. Would you please convert the audio format to PCM?

You can also use the Bluetooth adapter with Bluetooth-enabled TVs. The downside of a direct Bluetooth indicator connection is that you can only connect one wireless device at a time. Then with the help of adapters, you can connect multiple Bose devices.

Headphone name not found on Bose Connect app is one of the common errors if you connect Bose headphones with the help of a third party.

  • The most helpful workaround is to quit the Bose app and then reopen it. If the problem is still not entirely resolved, you can uninstall the application and download it again.
  • Meanwhile, in case your phone uses the iOS 13 or higher operating system, the cause of this error may come from the fact that you have not enabled Bluetooth permission on your phone.
  • To grant Bose Connect permissions, select the Bose Connect app in the list of apps. Next, under Bose Connect permissions, turn on the Bluetooth symbol.

What to do when your Bose headphones don’t automatically reconnect to your device

If you have previously connected the device to a wireless headset, the phone will remember and automatically reconnect when the headset is turned on and within range.

If your ios device cannot connect automatically, you can fix this error in a few ways:

Disable NFC and WiFi

The frequency of wireless data transmission devices such as NFC or WiFi can affect the Bluetooth symbol. If your Bluetooth connection is unstable for unknown reasons, temporarily disable the above two connections.

Delete paired devices

Too many other Bluetooth devices around can cause your device to have problems determining the preferred device. To quickly connect to your favorite headphones, you can remove some paired devices.

To delete, go to Bluetooth’s settings, then select the paired device you want to remove, then select Unpair.

How To Pair Bose Headphones To Samsung Smart TV

How To Pair Bose Headphones To Samsung Smart TV

If your Samsung TV isn’t equipped with Bluetooth functionality, then you will need a Bluetooth Adapter to pair to your device. A Bluetooth adapter simply Plugs into a 3.5mm audio port or Left/Right Aux port, depending on which type of adapter you get. Ensure the Bluetooth adapter supports your preferred connection method.

Next, you’ll want to put your Bluetooth adapter in pairing mode. This differs for each device; make sure you follow along with your device’s user manual. Next, put your Bose headphones into pairing mode by turning your On/Off slider on and holding it for around 2 seconds or until you hear “Ready to Pair”.

Placing your headphones next to your Bluetooth adapter while both devices are on pairing mode should automatically pair your device together.

If your headphones are having trouble pairing to your Samsung TV, it may be a simple fix. Let’s take a look at a few troubleshooting methods.

Check if your Samsung TV Supports Bluetooth

Not all Samsung TVs support Bluetooth functionality; you can check whether or not your TV is equipped with Bluetooth capabilities by going to Go to Settings -> Sound -> Sound Output. If the Bluetooth speaker List displays on your screen, then your TV does support Bluetooth.

As stated above, if your TV isn’t equipped with Bluetooth capabilities, you will still be able to connect your headphones via a Bluetooth adapter by following the instructions above.

If your headset is plugged into the charging cable, disconnect it from the charger.

Once the charging cable is plugged into your Bose headphones, Bluetooth will automatically be disabled. Ensure your charging cable isn’t plugged in when trying to connect your device.

Ensure your Bose headphones are within the recommended range

Bose headphones’ Bluetooth range is typically 33 feet (10 meters). Objects in between your headphones and Samsung TV can also interfere with the connection.

In most cases, your device experiences pairing issues because it’s still trying to pair with your previously paired device. You will need to either “Forget” your Bose headphones from your previously connected Bluetooth device list or clear your device’s memory. Here’s how you can clear your Bose headphones memory.

Reset your Bose Headphones

If your Bose headphones are still not pairing to your Samsung TV, then your Bose headphones may need a Reset. Here’s how to reset your Bose headphones.

Method 1: Turn off the headphones

To begin, you need to press the power button to turn your headphones on. Then, turn them off and wait for about 30 seconds. Unlike headphones from other bands, one single click can activate the power button in Bose Quietcomfort 35 products. If you press and hold it for a while, you may run the connecting function of your headphones.

After 30 seconds, get a USB cable to plug in the headphones. This cable is the same as the one you use for charging.

Then, unplug the cable and wait for one minute.

Finally, your headphones are ready to use.

Method 2: Disconnect the cables

If the first method doesn’t work, you can try this alternative. This method is also a soft reset that doesn’t change anything in your settings. In other words, your product settings are retained during this reset.

Start by disconnecting the cables from your headphones.

Attach the bigger end of the USB cable to a running computer.

Connect the smaller end of the cable to one earcup. Then, press and hold the power button on your headphones until the LED light blinks twice.

After connecting, wait for two seconds, then release the power button.

How To Control Bluetooth Volume & Samsung TV Speakers Volume Separately

If you would like to use two audio sources at the same time when connecting your Bose headphones to your Samsung TV, then luckily for you, this is possible through Samsung’s “Multi-Output Audio” feature. This allows you to enable and control both your Headphones volume and your TV speaker volume separately. Here’s how:

  • Press the Home button on your Samsung smart TV
  • Select Settings.
  • Select General -> Accessibility
  • Then click on Multi-Output Audio
  • Select your Bose headphones & click on Pair.

Can I Connect Two Bluetooth Devices To My Samsung Tv?

Unfortunately, you can only connect one Bluetooth Audio device at a time to your Samsung TV. However, although you can’t natively connect more than one Bluetooth Audio device at the same time, that doesn’t mean you can’t utilize a Bluetooth adapter.

First, you will need to ensure that your TV is equipped with the output requirements of the Bluetooth adapters you select, such as the 3.5m Aux or Left/Right Aux port. Next, you must ensure that the adapter you select supports multiple Bluetooth device connections.

To connect your devices to your Bluetooth adapter, you want to put both your Headphones & Bluetooth adapter in pairing mode. Once both are in pairing mode, your devices will automatically be paired to one another.
